Telehealth Psychology Services

The same quality of care - wherever you are in Australia.

At Cognitive Assessments Australia, we believe that where you live should never determine the quality of psychological care you can access. That is why all of our services - including comprehensive assessments, psychological therapy, and ADHD coaching - are available via secure Telehealth video appointments to clients anywhere in Australia.

Whether you are in regional Victoria, interstate, or simply find it more convenient to attend from home, Telehealth offers a flexible, effective, and genuinely accessible alternative to in-person appointments.

How Telehealth Works

Telehealth appointments at CAA are conducted via a secure video platform. Once your appointment is confirmed, your clinician will send you a link to join the session at your scheduled time. All you need is:

  • A device with a camera and microphone - smartphone, tablet, or computer all work well

  • A stable internet connection

  • A quiet, private space where you feel comfortable to speak freely

Your clinician will send everything you need ahead of your appointment. If you have any technical difficulties on the day, our team is available to help.

Is Telehealth as Effective as In-Person?

Yes. A substantial and growing body of research supports the effectiveness of Telehealth-delivered psychological services for both assessment and therapy. Many of our clients find that attending from a familiar environment actually supports the therapeutic process - particularly for anxious individuals, neurodivergent clients, and children who benefit from being in a comfortable, known space.

Telehealth assessments use the same gold-standard tools and clinical processes as our in-person assessments. The quality, thoroughness, and clinical rigour are equivalent in every respect.

Who Is Telehealth Suitable For?

Telehealth is suitable for the vast majority of our clients, including:

  • Children, adolescents, and adults seeking psychological assessments

  • Individuals accessing ongoing therapy or ADHD coaching

  • Clients in regional, rural, or remote areas of Australia

  • Clients interstate who are unable to attend our Melbourne or Brisbane clinics

  • NDIS participants whose plans include Telehealth-delivered services

  • Clients who prefer the convenience and comfort of attending from home

Some assessment types have specific requirements around the testing environment or equipment. Our team will advise you at the time of booking whether any particular considerations apply to your assessment.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Your privacy is paramount. All Telehealth sessions at CAA are conducted via a secure, encrypted video platform in compliance with Australian privacy legislation. We recommend attending from a private space where you cannot be overheard, and using headphones where possible to further protect your privacy.
