OUR TEAM

Dedicated Experts. Passionate Care.

At Cognitive Assessments Australia, our team brings together clinicians who genuinely care about the people they work with and the difference good psychological care can make.

We are a group of experienced, passionate and neuro-affirming psychologists who believe every person deserves to feel understood, respected and supported. Whether someone is seeking a comprehensive assessment, psychological therapy or ADHD coaching, we approach our work with curiosity, warmth and professional care.

We work with children, adolescents, adults and families, taking the time to understand each person's individual circumstances, strengths and needs.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Experienced. Neuro-affirming. Person-centred.

Our psychologists are committed to creating a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment where people feel heard and valued.

We believe good care starts with understanding the whole person, not simply a diagnosis or a set of assessment results. Every person brings their own experiences, strengths, challenges and goals, and these are important parts of understanding their needs.

Whether we are assessing, providing therapy or supporting someone through ADHD coaching, our approach is collaborative, thoughtful and focused on helping people move forward with greater understanding and confidence.

Neuro-affirming Care

Experienced Clinicians

Our team brings experience across psychological assessment, cognitive assessment and therapeutic support.

Collaborative Approach

We work together with clients, families and, where appropriate, referring professionals to provide meaningful support.

We recognise individual differences in the way people think, learn, communicate and experience the world.

Evidence-based

We combine professional expertise with compassionate, neuro-affirming care that respects every individual.

Founder and Clinical Psychologist

Kerrin Danswan

Kerrin founded Cognitive Assessments Australia with a clear purpose: to create a practice where every person who walks through the door feels genuinely understood, not simply assessed.

With over a decade of experience as a Clinical Psychologist, Kerrin has worked across private practice, government and forensic psychology. This breadth of experience has given her a broad understanding of the different challenges people can face across their lives.

She supports children, adolescents and adults, including people seeking answers around learning, development, attention and mental health. Kerrin also has a strong passion for psychological therapy and works with adolescents and adults across a range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, trauma and emotional dysregulation.

Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative and deeply human. She believes that understanding how a person's brain works, and communicating that understanding clearly and compassionately, can be genuinely life-changing.

Kerrin is committed to neuro-affirming practice in everything she does.

WHY WORK WITH US

A Team That Listens, Understands and Cares

Choosing a psychologist is about more than qualifications or assessments. It is about finding people you feel comfortable with and a team that takes the time to understand what you are experiencing.

At Cognitive Assessments Australia, we bring together different areas of psychological experience while sharing the same commitment to compassionate, person-centred care.

Whether you are a parent looking for answers for your child, an adult seeking greater clarity, or a professional making a referral, our team aims to make the process clear, respectful and supportive from the beginning.

We believe that every person has their own story, strengths and way of experiencing the world. Our role is to listen carefully, understand that individual experience and provide support that is genuinely useful.

Different experiences. One shared purpose: helping people feel understood and supported.
