Assessment Tools For Hire

At Cognitive Assessments Australia, we understand that access to high-quality, gold-standard assessment tools can be a significant barrier for psychologists, educators, and allied health professionals — particularly those in private practice, regional areas, or early in their careers.

To support the broader professional community, we offer a selection of our assessment kits for short-term hire. All kits are maintained to a high standard and are available subject to availability.

WPPSI-IV Kit

The Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence, Fourth Edition (WPPSI-IV) is a comprehensive cognitive assessment tool designed for children aged 2 years 6 months to 7 years 7 months. It measures a range of cognitive abilities including verbal comprehension, visual spatial reasoning, fluid reasoning, working memory, and processing speed. It is widely used by psychologists and educators to identify intellectual giftedness, developmental delays, and learning difficulties in young children, and to inform early intervention planning.

ADOS-2 Kit

The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) is the gold-standard observational assessment tool for autism spectrum disorder, suitable for use across the lifespan from toddlers through to adults. It consists of a series of structured and semi-structured activities that allow the clinician to observe social communication, interaction, and restricted and repetitive behaviours. The ADOS-2 is the most widely used and internationally recognised tool for autism assessment and is considered best practice for diagnostic evaluations.

UNIT-2

The Universal Nonverbal Intelligence Test, Second Edition (UNIT-2) is a comprehensive, fully nonverbal assessment of general intelligence designed for individuals aged 5 to 21 years. It is particularly valuable for assessing individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, have limited English proficiency, have language-based learning difficulties, or where a culturally fair and language-free measure of cognitive ability is required. The UNIT-2 is widely used in educational, clinical, and research settings and is highly regarded for its fairness across diverse populations.

Hire Rates

All hire periods are for seven consecutive days from the date of collection (Melbourne only).

 

Extensions may be available subject to availability - please contact us in advance if you require additional time.

 

Additional record forms, response booklets, and other consumables are available to purchase at the time of hire. Please advise your requirements when booking so we can ensure the appropriate materials are included with your kit.

Conditions of Hire

​

  • Hire is available to registered psychologists, provisional psychologists under supervision, and other appropriately qualified professionals only. Proof of registration or qualifications may be requested.

  • The hirer is responsible for the safe handling, storage, and return of all kit components in the condition in which they were received.

  • Any lost, damaged, or missing components will be charged to the hirer at replacement cost.

  • Kits must be returned by the agreed date. Late returns will incur an additional hire fee of $50 per day.

  • All hire agreements are subject to availability and must be confirmed in advance. Payment is required prior to or at the time of collection.

  • Kits are available for collection from our clinic at Suite 502, 434 St Kilda Road, Melbourne VIC 3004. Courier may be available on request - additional costs and conditions apply.
